Transformers: The Last Knight And Fifty Shades Darker Lead The 2018 Golden Raspberry Awards Nominations
A day before the Academy Awards release their nominations for the best of the best in film from last year, The Golden Raspberry Awards have announced their picks for the worst of the worst. Two very different kinds of movies lead the way as well, with the action flick Transformers: The Last Knight and the adult erotica film Fifty Shades Darker receiving the most nominations.
Transfomers led the nominations with nine, including worst picture, worst actor for Mark Wahlberg, two worst supporting actor nominations for Josh Duhamel and Anthony Hopkins as well as worst screenplay. Not far behind though was Fifty Shades Darker, with received eight nominations. It too is up for worst picture, with the series stars Dakota johnson and Jamie Dornon both up for worst acting nominations.
While it is most likely that one of those two films will win the worst picture Razzie (after all they are both are pretty terrible), they do have some strong competition from Baywatch, The Emoji Movie, and The Mummy. In the worst actress category Dakota Johnson is joined by Katherine Heigl in Unforgettable, Jennifer Lawrence in mother!, Tyler Perry )No, this is not a mistake, after all he was playing a woman in Boo 2!: A Madea Halloween) and Emma Watson in The Circle. On the other side Mark Wahlberg and Jamie Dornan will be competing against Tom Cruise in The Mummy, Johnny Depp in Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Zac Efron in Baywatch. For the record though Wahlberg is nominated twice, once for Transformers and once for Daddy’s Home 2.
The winners, if you can call them that, will be announced on March 3rd, the day before the Oscars are given out.
